12-15-22   THOUGHTS

We share some passages that relate to WISDOM this morning.   Is it our wish for the Lord to “delight in us?”  May we be wise and know the Lord our God! May we grow in our knowledge of His loving kindness, justice and righteousness on earth! Can we  show our wisdom  by our good behavior and our deeds in the gentleness of wisdom?   May we make peace, as we show God’s love and declare His name in this world!  OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!

Ps 107:43   Who is wise? Let him give heed to these things, And consider the lovingkindnesses of the LORD.
Jer 9:23-24    Thus says the LORD, "Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches;  24  but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things," declares the LORD.
Matt 7:24   "Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.
Jas 1:16-19    Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17  Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. 18  In the exercise of His will He brought us forth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures. 19  This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger;
Jas 3:13-18     Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom. 14  But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth.  15  This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. 16  For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. 17  But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. 18  And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

My Prayer:
We lift up our hearts in praise to the only true and living God!  Your grace and mercy and love in all wisdom, has saved us, Father God. We live in hope because You have given hope to us.  Help us, in this day, to delight you, as your children.  We thank you, and praise you, and love you.  There is no God  but You.  Help us worship you more powerfully.  In Jesus name,       Amen
